Purim and Modesty

Shushan Purim, 15 Adar Bet, 5774 Jerusalem

The Persian King, Achashrarosh, in the Purim Story, wants to display his Queen Vashti’s beauty to all his guests. Later he has a contest to replace her. What a low life. He treats women as objects to be consumed, enjoyed. That is why we can’t have prophecy when in exile, we are under the rule of low-lives who have no idea what sanctity and life are all about.

Let us wipe out Amalek in our day by stop using women’s beauty to sell things, and not patronizing products which use that to sell things!

A woman’s beauty is for her marriage, not the public.

Don’t be a Persian monarch slob like Achashrarosh.

Happy Purim!
